Immune & Inflammatory
Frequent Illness / Infections
Getting sick more often than usual — colds, flu, or other infections. Signals immune suppression often caused by overtraining, poor sleep, nutritional deficiencies, or extreme restriction.
Inflammation / Elevated hs-CRP
Systemic low-grade inflammation detected via elevated hs-CRP, IL-6, or other inflammatory markers — the root driver of most chronic disease. Can paradoxically be caused by some practices that aim to optimize health.
Joint Swelling
Visible or palpable swelling around a joint from fluid accumulation, inflammation, or crystal deposition (gout). Distinct from muscle soreness — indicates intra-articular pathology.
Slow Wound Healing
Cuts, abrasions, or surgical wounds that take longer than normal to close and heal — indicating nutritional deficiencies, poor metabolic health, or immune suppression.
