Energy & Fatigue
Brain Fog
Difficulty concentrating, mental clarity, or recalling information — often described as thinking through a cloud. Associated with blood sugar dysregulation, poor sleep, nutrient deficiencies, chronic inflammation, and hormonal shifts.
Chronic Fatigue
Persistent, overwhelming tiredness that does not improve with rest, affecting daily function. Commonly linked to hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, poor sleep, overtraining, and metabolic dysfunction.
Exercise Intolerance
Inability to sustain physical activity at expected intensity, with disproportionate fatigue, breathlessness, or recovery time. Can indicate deconditioning, anemia, cardiac issues, or mitochondrial dysfunction.
Low Energy on Waking
Difficulty feeling alert and energized upon waking — distinct from normal grogginess. May reflect poor sleep quality, low cortisol awakening response, thyroid dysfunction, or iron deficiency anemia.
Mid-Afternoon Energy Crash
A predictable dip in energy and alertness typically between 1–3 PM, often driven by post-meal blood sugar spikes and falls, circadian rhythm patterns, and poor sleep quality.
Post-Exercise Fatigue (Excessive)
Unusual or prolonged tiredness lasting more than 48 hours after exercise, signaling inadequate recovery, overtraining syndrome, or nutritional deficiencies. Distinct from normal muscle soreness.
